Plants

Meager beauty - The "forget-me-not" flowers (Myosotis sp), are minuscule. These were just under 1cm!

One thing is certain, dspite the name, I will never forget these beautiful flowers. A symbol of true love and fidelity also for our memories.

Morning, "due" - Plants receive freshness quite early, in the form of dew that forms droplets.

These tiny droplets are just begging to be captured alongside the various layers of leaves (Euphorbia characias).

Yellow vibe - Almost lost in a pine forest, until.... a wild buttercup (Ranunculus sp) found me!
Such perfection around the edges that funnels to its core while bearing the illusion of symmetry.

Sprouting agenda:

Mother Nature: What are your long-term goals?

Plant: To grow and become a tree. Like you always wanhed me to be.

Mother Nature: Take this soil, this water, this air and a leaf full of nutrients, and achieve everything you were meant to be.

Lily is hungry - Within my imagination, this water lily (Nymphaea sp) resembles a voracious predator propelling itself from the depths just like a crocodile would.

Instead it shows its beauty, motionless...

Yellow Core - A daisy, detailed.

No words are necessary. Enjoy the beauty.

Shimmering frost - Waking up early has its benefits!
Cold meet golden hour, golden hour meet cold ;)

The color and texture contrasts make me feel both warm and chilly.

Tripling Hues - In a good way, the wild pansy (Viola tricolor) stuffs the green fields at the dawn of spring.

Nature works marvels with its creations. So simple, so fragile, so.... Perfect.

The other side - This species of hawk'sbeard (Crepis sp) asked for a different angle. In photography, the camera holder has to fulfill the wishes of the subject.

The green from the stem gives fades into the yellow and red of the petals. All surrounded by an orange undertone.
Thanks again nature.

Floral verticalism - Sprouting from the earth with style, here comes the Squill (Scilla monophyllos).

Bearing a single leaf, the emergence of this species shouts out loud - "Spring is coming!"
And we gladly welcome it.

Coddled - Looking at the sheltered white flowers of the sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima), it would not easily cross our minds that it grows on the edge the exposed Cape Espichel.

Coddled by species of shrubs and a few rocks, it avoids the heavy winds. Allowing it to stay perfect, as a natural monument to beauty.

Open Sesam....oides? - June in bloom.

This is a Sesamoides herb, flowering in all its might! Attracting pollinators and photographers alike.

A macro composition enhanced by the depth of field and nature's magnificent colors.
